Woodchucks are brown smooth furred animals about the size of a large cat. They have a small tail that is not bushy, but is not hairless either. They look much like a beaver but without the flat paddle-like tail. They are chewers like beavers, but they prefer roots and tender shoots instead of trees, saplings, and bark.
