Where do NJ and NYC Bed Bugs Live?
Where do bed bugs live? They typically prefer to live near their food sources. They like to make their home in the bedroom because humans are easy prey when they are sleeping at night. Also since they don’t fly they have to crawl to their food source and living in the kitchen and crawling to the human bedroom can be very time consuming and boring.
NJ and NYC residents may want to consider using a bed bugs mattress encasement on their bed to prevent bed bugs from entering their mattress and to starve to death those already thriving in the mattress. Also make sure not let any part of the bed touch the walls since that allows the bed bugs to crawl along the walls and then crawl all over you. Some people place tape with the sticky side all around the bed. If the tape is very sticky the bed bugs will get stuck.
Check the baseboard and the night stand and everything near the bed, including wall crevices for bed bugs. It’s also a good idea to check everywhere in the residence. Bed bugs can live for about a year without a blood meal by going dormant, so keep doing bed bug preventive procedures.
