Avoiding Bed Bugs While on Vacation
During spring break and summer vacations it’s time to have fun but it’s also time to be cautious about attracting the odious little critters known as bed bugs. They’re quite pleased to live in hotels, motels and fancy resorts and pounce, well actually crawl onto their human prey while they’re sleeping. Hotels offer bed bugs plenty of human victims. Low priced, high priced and even regal hotels can have bed bugs.
An opera singer named Alison Trainer was visited by bed bugs while staying in an upscale hotel in Phoenix in 2007. If they have the unmitigated gall to attack an opera singer, well I suppose the rest of us are also on their list.
Hotels can actually be void of bed bugs one day and the next day they can have a group of them brought in by tourists from Bulgaria or perhaps Chile. Bed bugs are living in all 50 states, so tourists have to be careful when staying in hotels while traveling in the U.S.A.
