Not long ago a family in New York was able to experience first hand how a skilled bed bug sniffing dog can spot bed bugs that would likely have gone un-noticed from their human counterpart.

The trouble began for the family when they began getting bit on their legs by something after returning home from a family vacation.  With the bed bug population on the increase in most areas of the world, they suspected that these tiny nighttime blood suckers could be the reason for the itchy welts.

The family called in a bed bug sniffing dog and to their surprise, the dog found four places where the bed bugs were hiding in their belongings.  Identifying their locations early, before the bed bugs could truly set up house, was certainly a smart move which saved a ton in extermination fees.
