Prominent Hotel Being Sued Over Odious Bed Bugs

NJ and NYC residents and people living in Idaho and elsewhere may be interested to know that a Holiday Inn located in the Chicago area is being sued by customers who claim they rented a bed bug infested hotel room. They go on to claim that they unknowingly brought the bed bugs home with them which cost them money and caused them physical and psychological injuries. They want $50,000. They also state that the Holiday Inn did not exterminate the bed bug infestation and knowingly rented the room.

Well, it will be interesting to see if they can prove that Holiday Inn knew that the room had a bed bug infestation. I didn’t read anything about the visitors taking pictures of the bed bugs in the hotel room with a cell phone or a camera. Perhaps the bed bugs in their home originally came from a popular restaurant, a quaint book store or a movie theater. Yes, it is possible the insects actually came from the Holiday Inn.

It will be interesting to see if Holiday Inn settles out of court in order to stop the negative publicity.

If you have NJ, NYC, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens or Manhattan bed bugs ask a NJ, NYC bed bugs pest control expert to get rid of them.

How Do Cockroaches Get Into Your Home?

Contrary to popular belief, cockroach infestation does not only occur in places that are unclean, although cockroaches do feel more at home in messy environments. They can live and breed in the cleanest of places because they can survive with very limited means. These hardy creatures only need a little food, water, and warmth to survive, and they can find these in just about any home.

There are a number of ways that cockroaches can get into your home. They can get into your grocery bag or briefcase when you are shopping or at work, and you may bring them home without knowing it. Cockroaches can also enter your home through pipes, small gaps around windows and doors, and other openings. They can pass through holes that are as narrow as one-fifteenth of an inch.

Once they are in your home, they will find a place that is warm and dark to hide and breed, usually behind cupboards, holes or cracks in walls, under the sink, and other places. They can multiply at a tremendous rate, with one female cockroach being able to produce hundreds of offspring in just one month.

To eliminate cockroach infestation in your home, you can call NY, NYC, and NJ pest control experts.

Innovative Bed Bugs Products and Services

Stern Environmental to the Rescue

Stern Environmental to the Rescue

Stern Environmental is advertising pest control services on moving objects. No, not on the sleeves of pedestrians or hawks; on buses. The owner Douglas Stern is regarded as the region’s top bed bug expert and he knows how to eliminate the odious insects. He has also thoroughly reviewed numerous new bed bug products and has selected a collection of quality bed bug products which are available at this website.

Twenty years ago if people had seen city buses carrying advertisements for bed bugs services they might have been befuddled but now most people in NYC, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and all over the country are aware of the terrible bed bugs and know that bed bug pest control services are in demand. When selecting a pest control service to eliminate bed bugs make sure they have a good track record.

By the way, Stern Environmental is now using bed bug sniffing dogs. These knights in shining fur are incredible at finding bed bugs. The pooches that work for Stern Environmental are highly trained at locating the odor of bed bugs. They notify their human handler of the location of the critters by a short text message. Nah, but if you have bed bugs these canines will find them.

Rat Attack in New York City

Rats are not just pests in New York City; they are a threat to public safety. Other than doing all the horrible things that ordinary rats do, such as stealing food and spreading diseases, New York rats are known to attack human beings. These four-legged New Yorkers are not your regular timid little creatures that scamper to the nearest hiding place at the sound of a footstep. With a well-coordinated effort, they can bring down anything from a cat to a human being.

Many residents in New York City have seen rats attack children as well as adults in tenements and alleyways, even in broad daylight. While some people managed to escape with only slight wounds on their legs, others were hospitalized or even killed. A number of homeless people had died because of rat attacks. Efforts to bring in cats and dogs to combat the rat problem have failed miserably, because New York rats are big (just slightly smaller than cats) and fierce, and they can attack intelligently as a group.

As a safety measure, residents of New York City should try to stay away from alleyways and sewer openings when walking on the streets at night.

If you need professional help to take care of rat problems in your home, you can contact pest control experts in NY and NJ.
