Bed Bug Prevention Tips for Spring Break
College students enjoy their spring break unless they get attacked by bed bugs. The odious insects are found in hotels in New Jersey and New York City and across the nation. Bed bugs are just as likely to be hanging out in a classy hotel as they are a hotel referred to as a dump. Sanitation is not an issue with bed bugs.
What can spring breakers due to prevent a bed bug attack while at a hotel on spring break?
Here are a few helpful tips:
Pull off the sheets and check out the mattress, especially along the seems for blood spots and black marks.
Only place luggage on the luggage rack, but inspect any cracks and crevasses in the rack for bed bugs.
When you get home place the luggage in the garage and immediately wash your clothes.
Immediately vacuum your suitcase when you get home.
Bring a flash light with you to check cracks and crevasses for the reddish brown little bed bugs.
You may want to store your luggage in a plastic bag while staying at the hotel.
Taking a portable bed bug monitor with you is an excellent idea.
