Insect Control Services for Cockroaches, Ants, Bees, Spiders, and Bed Bugs

Coackroach infestations need serious help. Don't let your business reputation be destroyed by a little bug. They creep, they crawl, they slither and slink. They skitter under the stove and crawl up the sink. Bugs! Despite the disparity in size, they cause our hearts to stop, our palms to sweat, our feet to pause when we turn on a light. They lurk in corners and hide in the dark, shatter our peace and send us screaming in fright!

There is definitely something about bugs that activates the "ick" factor. They invade our food supplies, cause destruction to our homes and spread disease. Part of our planet's ecosystem for millions of years, insects serve an important purpose in nature, but in our homes they become a pest, a nuisance and often a health hazard.

Cockroaches – Nature's heartiest insect, roaches have been around for 350 million years. Prolific reproducers, roaches thrive in hot, humid environments but are found nearly everywhere on Earth. Capable of living for a month without food, a roach can hold its breath for 45 minutes and even slow its heart rate, making them difficult to kill. Scavengers, they will eat the glue off postage stamps, boxes and book bindings if food is not readily available. There is no such thing as a single roach. As they crawl about foraging for food and water, roaches leave a chemical trail in their feces, an open invitation to other roaches to join the party. Pretty soon they're everywhere! Creeping from their hiding places to forage at night, the sight of them skittering across the floor when you flick on the light is enough to make your skin crawl.

Roaches are reported to spread 33 kinds of bacteria, 6 kinds of parasitic worms and at least 7 other human viral and bacterial pathogens. They pick up germs on the spines of their legs and bodies as they crawl through decaying garbage and sewage, depositing them wherever they crawl. Roaches are a significant cause of the alarmingly rise in asthma in urban areas, particularly in children. Their excretions coupled with molt carcasses create a biological dust of protein particles that trigger asthma and allergies. Find out more...

Ants – The most common household pest in America, ants are nuisance pests. While minor food spoilage may occur, it's the size and persistence of the invasion force that is annoying. Most household ants feed on sweets or grease, but carpenter ants can cause considerable damage, hollowing out wood structures to build their massive nests. Social insects, ants cohabitate by the millions in highly organized colonies. They communicate by leaving pheromone trails on the ground, allowing their buddies to trail them to new food sources. While ants may sting or bite defensively, fatalities are extremely rare.

Spiders – Beneficial predators that play a major role in controlling insect populations, most spiders are not harmful to humans. Feeding on bugs, beetles, moths and other insects trapped in their webs, spiders inject venom to kill prey or protect themselves. About as painful as a bee sting, bites seldom cause lasting effects but can trigger severe allergic reactions. Searching for a warm place to lay their eggs, spiders move indoors in the fall; infestations inducing irrational fear that can cause physical illness. It's those creepy 8 legs crawling down the wall that make spiders the most feared creature on Earth.

One of our technicians, Wilson Oquendo, is in full bee, wasp, and hive removal gear getting ready to remove a hive.Bees – Buzzing around your face, the fear of being stung causes us to flail around, often provoking the very act we seek to avoid. The stings of bees, wasps and hornets pose a serious threat to those who are allergic. Bees may colonize a wall void or attic, finding entrance into your home through wall outlets, pipe openings and chimneys, creating havoc in your life. Their taste for sugary foods and drinks can ruin backyard barbecues. Some bees can even cause significant damage to your home. Find out more about bees...

Resembling bumble bees, carpenter bees tunnel deep into wood eaves, fascia, siding and decks to lay their eggs. Round holes and fine sawdust indicate their presence. Tunneling can destroy wood, hastening water damage and rot.

If honeybees establish a colony behind your siding, in a wall or attic, you may wind up replacing a wall. As the honey absorbs moisture, it ferments, seeping through walls, causing odors and stains that can never be removed. Waste buildup from the hive attracts carpet beetles and wax moths that can persist for years.

Bed Bugs – Tiny, oval, reddish-brown insects, bed bugs are a nuisance bug that hide in bedding and near sleeping areas. Blood-suckers, they feed on humans, usually at night, causing raised red welts that itch for several days. Easily spread and difficult to eradicate, bed bugs are a growing problem. Those cohabiting with the little critters can develop a sensitivity syndrome that includes nervousness, jumpiness and sleeplessness.  Find out more...
