BBD-100 The First Personal Handheld Bed Bug Detector
This exciting newly patented product is the first of its kind, a handheld
personal bed bug detector. The BBD-100 unit is extremely accurate and very
easy to use. In fact, the unit is so sensitive that it will detect if even
just one bed bug is hiding within six inches of the unit's probe. The unit
is portable and about the size of a calculator.
The BBD-100 works by drawing in air samples and testing them for the presence of gas emissions generated by bed bugs. When emissions are detected the unit will sound an alarm and lights will move from amber to red in the unit's display. The presence of even one hidden bed bug will be detected. (A bed bug must be hiding where its emissions can build up for about five to ten minutes in order to be detected by the unit.)
Now you can have peace of mind and be bed bug free anywhere you go with this small portable hand held bed bug detector. With it you can check for bed bugs in: taxis, airplane seats, your car, kids sleep over backpacks, hotel rooms, furniture, cabinets, drawers, behind floor molding, folds of mattresses, box springs, electrical outlets, cracks, head boards, hanging pictures, clock radios, TV sets, rental cars, blankets, and stuffed animal toys. The unit is small and unobtrusive but has the power to detect bed bugs and give you the peace of mind you need!

Want
to Know More About the BBD-100? We've Got The Answers...
Q. How many hidden bed bugs will I be able to locate with the BBD-100 Bed Bug Detector?
A. The unit will detect as few as one bed bug hidden in a confined space. (Crevices, cracks in wall, couch, drawer, etc.) However, bed bugs must be hiding where their emissions can build up for about five to ten minutes in order to be detected by the unit.
Q. Will the BBD-100 Bed Bug Detector alarm on bed bugs in plain view?
A. No, the gases the bed bugs release dissipate too rapidly when they are in the open.
Q. How do I use the BBD-100 to find bed bugs?
A. Here are the simple and easy to follow step by step instructions
on how to use the unit:
Push the on/off button once to turn the unit on. It will take one full minute
for the unit to warm up and be ready for testing. During this warm up period
the lights will cycle from green to red several times as the unit calibrates
the various sensors to the ambient air.
Once the unit is ready only the green
light will be lit. Move the probe slowly near the areas being checked for bed
bugs. If a bed bug is hiding within six inches of the probe the BBD-100 will
indicate its presence. The audible alarm and lights will be triggered as the
air pump draws in an air sample. Once all the air in the bed bugs hiding place
is drawn through the sensors the alarm will stop. It will take 5-10 minutes
for a bed bug to produce enough gases to set the alarm off again.
Q. Where will I be able to find bed bugs?
A. The BBD-100 Bed Bug Detector will find them hiding in any
space where the bed bugs gases are allowed to accumulate. For example: In a
couch, chairs, cabinets, drawers, behind floor molding, folds of mattress,
box springs, electrical outlets, cracks, head boards, hanging pictures, clock
radios, TV sets, vehicles, buses, taxis, rental cars, crevices, blankets, and
stuffed animal toys.
Q. Do I need the BBD-100 for traveling?
A. Yes. One in four hotel rooms have typically had an incident with bed bugs. We recommend taking a BBD-100 on any trip or vacation, so you can check your hotel room, vacation rental house, taxi cab seat, airplane seat, cruise ship room, rental car, etc.
Q. Is there a manufacturer's warranty on the product?
A. Yes, there is a one year parts and labor warranty.
Q. What kind of batteries does the BBD-100 use?
A. The BBD-100 uses two AA batteries. Batteries are included and will allow the unit to run for up to two hours continuously. When the air pump slows down, it is time to replace the batteries.
