The Bedbug Beacon
The Bedbug Beacon is a easy to use bed bug monitor that is perfect for home use. Solving the problem of finding commercially available and small C02 bottles for other bed bug monitors, the Bedbug Beacon provides a simple, inexpensive way to easily monitor for bed bugs in a residential setting.
The Bedbug Beacon monitor consists of doomed trap that conceals a pit trap, a plastic tube that allows you to feed the solution into the trap, several pouches of chemicals that you mix with water to create your own C02 supply, and a plastic mixing bottle. Bed bugs are attracted to the C02 the solution slowly releases over a five day period. They fall into the pit trap inside the product in which you would pour a small amount of mineral oil. The pit trap allows you to review what has been caught; to make sure your environment is bed bug free.
The manufacturer recommends that you use three units to monitor a normal size bedroom for best results. Shipped along with each Bedbug Beacon unit is an extra supply of chemicals; enough to last a total of 11 days of monitoring.
The Bedbug Beacon ships with the chemicals that when mixed together, in the supplied plastic bottle, create a solution that slowly and safely exudes a very small amount of C02 gas. The gas is not enough to harm to humans or pets, but does excite and attract bed bugs to the unit.
We feel that the affordability and ease of use of this home bed bug monitor make it the monitor of choice for any home owner, condo owner, or apartment dweller, letting them know if they have a bed bug problem right away. In the trials, the monitor caught bed bugs that had even been missed in a visual inspection. We are pleased with the field trial tests for accuracy of determining a presence of bed bugs.
If you are looking for peace of mind after you have had an infestation that your bed bugs have not come back, or are just looking to make sure you don't get them, the Bedbug Beacon is the perfect home bed bug monitor to consider for your personal use.
