NJ and NYC residents have been dealing with a bed bug invasion. Australia has also been inundated with bed bugs. They had a humongous increase in the reporting of bed bugs over the last few years. They are all over the country.
Perhaps through travel some of the Australian bed bugs have made their way to NJ and NYC. Australia has two versions of bed bugs, the standard and the tropical variety. They are basically the same although the tropical variety enjoy the warm weather.
Since some enjoy warm weather it makes me wonder if over time some feisty bed bugs will become resistant to extreme heat and cold. That would be terrible since exterminators often uses extreme heat and cold to destroy them.
I read an Australian article written about the annoying critters. Unfortunately I did not find any unique Australian strategies for getting rid of bed bugs or for preventing bed bug infestations.
If there is any good thing to come from bedbugs spreading out all over the world is that scientists all over the world will be working on the problem of how to get rid of bed bugs.
Call a NJ, NYC bed bugs pest control expert to get rid of the critters.
