NJ, NYC Bed Bugs Unique Hiding Places

NJ and NYC bed bugs may not be intelligent but they don’t place their bodies to form an obvious triangle on your kitchen table. They hide out in unique places such as clocks, computers, lamps, cell phones, metal filing cabinets, the crevices of wooden bookcases and bed bugs can easily penetrate five inch solid steel (perhaps not). Unfinished wood is a favorite hiding place for NJ and NYC bed bugs.

A bed bug is only about a 1/4 of an inch long and the babies are about 1/32 of an inch so they can hide in very small cracks. Besides looking for bed bugs it’s important to look for their blood marks and fecal matter which can be easier to notice. Check the unexposed sides of furniture and other items. Also, look for their  translucent and white eggs. Some experts suggest they lay about five eggs per day and create about 500 of them.

Stay away from free used furniture placed in front of homes and apartments and other locations. Sometimes the former unethical owner knows the items are infested with bed bugs but won’t mention the problem in a sign because he wants people to remove the items from his residence.

Call a NJ, NYC bed bugs pest control professional to get rid of the insects.
