Could More Bed Bugs Be Lurking In The Cook County Juvenile Court?

Bed bugs are notoriously difficult to eradicate from any type of facility.  Many people believe that bed bugs are only problematic in hotels, motels and homes as their name makes many people think that they are bedtime buddies.  In fact, because of the transient nature of people, and the amazing ability that bed bugs have to hitchhike from place to place, bed bugs can actually be found anyplace that humans frequent.

In October of 2012, the Cook County Juvenile Courthouse had a battle with the bloodsucking pests when the critters were found near the clerks file room.  The Courthouse remained open, but the clerk’s office was off-limits to all employees except management…surely not the best day to be the boss!

Fast forward to December of 2012.  A clerk has reported nother bed bug sighting in the same area of the building according to CBS Chicago on December 5, 2012.  Reports are that the creepy critter was smashed and thrown away so an absolute confirmation cannot be made by a licensed pest control professional.

It would not be surprising if the bed bugs were not eradicated fully upon the first treatment that was provided in October.  There is also a good chance that more bed bugs have arrived via a citizen coming to court, or even an employee who is unaware (or aware) that they have bed bugs in their home.

Bed bugs are extremely disruptive to the work environment.  It’s time to try to find the source of the infestation, if there is one, so that it can be fully eradicated by a licensed pest control professional.  A bed bug sniffing dog is a good tool to use when hunting for exact locations of bed bugs.  Their accurate nose is able to pinpoint the locations of hidden bed bugs in all types of buildings in a matter of minutes report Manhattan pest control professionals.
